JOB DESCRIPTION

The Junior Planner will report to and be mentored by Senior/Intermediate Planners within the company, supporting them through research, and analysis, as well as preparation of reports, presentations and public engagement sessions. The following profile makes candidates uniquely qualified for the role of Junior Planner at The Biglieri Group Ltd.:

  •  An accredited Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Planning is required;

  • Eligibility or Full membership in Canadian Institute of Planners or Ontario Professional Planners Institute is required;

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team with professionals from diverse disciplines

  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and customer service skills, including communicating planning knowledge to clients, government officials and members of the public;

  • Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills required to manage several projects at once;

  • Familiarity with and knowledge of the Ontario Planning Act, relevant provincial and municipal planning policies as well as all aspects of the planning process;

  • Excellent research, analysis, report-writing, and public engagement skills;

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills;

  • A commitment to continued professional development and growth; and

  • A valid ‘G’ Driver’s License.

A knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, GIS and fluency in other languages are considered assets, but are not required.
